Call Helper is an AI

The assistant you chat with is an AI language model, and the calls are made by an AI voice agent of ElevenLabs. No person speaks or listens in during a call. Which providers are involved is listed in the privacy policy.

How it introduces itself

The assistant waits until the other side has answered and then, in its first sentence, says that it is an AI assistant calling on behalf of the client, by the client's full name when we have it, and that the call is recorded and transcribed, in every language. It is also instructed to answer honestly that it is an AI when asked and not to leave messages on voicemail. This is how we tell people that they are talking to an AI, as Art. 50 (1) of the EU AI Act requires.

Recording

Each call is recorded and transcribed. You see the recording and the transcript in the app; the recording is deleted 30 days after the call. For calls to Germany the app keeps no recording, only the transcript.

Who processes the data

These providers handle the data of a task. The safeguards for transfers outside the EU are in the privacy policy.

  • ElevenLabs: the AI voice agent that makes the calls, with transcripts and recordings. USA; its copy of a call is deleted 30 days after the call.
  • Zadarma: the telephone line. EU.
  • Google Cloud Vertex AI: the language model (Claude) for the assistant and its decisions on the task, when selected. Netherlands.
  • OpenRouter: a router to the language model for the assistant and the call reports, and the web search through Exa. USA.
  • Anthropic: the language model (Claude) for the assistant and its decisions on the task, when selected. USA.
  • Google Gemini API: the language model for the assistant and its decisions on the task, when selected. Global, including the USA.
  • Google Cloud and Firebase: servers, database, file storage, sign-in and scheduling. Database, files and scheduling in Frankfurt (Germany), app servers in the Netherlands.
  • Stripe: card payments. USA and other countries.

What you control

The assistant prepares the task with you, and calls start only when you press “Start task”. It books or agrees to something for you only if you allowed it in the task. You can stop a running task at any time.

What the assistant does not do

The assistant calls only ordinary numbers of businesses and institutions in EU countries. It does not take on these scenarios, and the app does not start such calls:

  • calls to emergency numbers, premium-rate and other paid service numbers, or to numbers outside the EU;
  • asking for or taking payment data over the phone: card numbers, PINs, passwords or codes;
  • stating diagnoses or health details beyond what the booking needs;
  • telemarketing, sales calls, surveys, and prize draws or lotteries.

These limits come on top of the other prohibited uses in the terms of use. If a task falls under them, the assistant says so and does not call.

Limits

The AI can mishear, misunderstand or report wrong information. It gives no legal, medical or financial advice. Check important results in the transcript or the recording.
